- Contact details: Phone number voluntarily submitted through lead capture forms, interest expressions, or visitor popups.
- Car listing details: Vehicle make, model, year, price, photos, and all other details entered when creating a listing.
- Lead & offer data: Interest expressions, offers made on listings, and finance pre-approval form submissions.
- Browsing data: Page interactions and browsing patterns on our platform, used solely to improve user experience.
2. How We Store Your Data
All user data is stored securely on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) blockchain — a decentralized infrastructure with no single central server. This means your data is not stored on any single company's server or cloud provider, providing a higher level of security and resilience compared to traditional platforms.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Connect buyers and sellers through CarLo's mediated system
- Send relevant car listings and updates (only if you have opted in)
- Process boost plan purchases and wallet credits
- Enable the referral and reward system to track and verify eligible deals
- Improve platform performance and user experience
- Allow our CarLo team to manage listings, registrations, and platform activity
4. Data Sharing — We Never Sell Your Data
CarLo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for any purpose. Your contact details are never directly shared with other users. All communication between buyers, sellers, and dealers happens exclusively through CarLo's controlled in-platform system. Only anonymized or deal-relevant information is shared strictly for the purpose of deal coordination, and only within the platform.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or misuse. Data is stored on the ICP blockchain — a decentralized, tamper-resistant infrastructure — which eliminates the risk of a single point of failure or breach. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
6. Your Rights — Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and account at any time. To do so, email us at support@mycarlo.net with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email address. We will process your request within 7 working days. Please note that deleting your account will permanently remove all associated listings, wallet credits, referrals, and data from the platform.

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
