Welcome to CarLo. By accessing and using our platform, you agree to comply with the following terms designed to ensure a safe, transparent, and reliable experience for all users.
1. Platform Role
CarLo acts solely as a listing and intermediary platform that connects buyers and sellers of vehicles. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any vehicle listed on the platform. CarLo is a technology marketplace and not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. CarLo is not responsible for any disputes, losses, or disagreements arising from transactions conducted between users.
2. Limitation of Liability
CarLo is not liable for any transactions, disputes, fraud, or losses arising between buyers and sellers. All transactions are conducted at the sole risk of the users involved. CarLo does not verify vehicle ownership, condition, or authenticity. Users are strongly advised to independently verify all details before completing any deal. CarLo shall not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of this platform.
3. Platform Fee Structure
CarLo charges a platform service fee on successful deals to cover coordination, mediation, and administrative services:
- Private Sellers: 2% of the final deal amount (minimum applicable).
- Registered Dealers: 3% of the final deal amount.
The fee is payable only upon successful deal completion as confirmed by CarLo team. No fee is charged for listings that do not result in a completed deal. CarLo team may adjust the fee in specific cases with written justification.
4. CarLo Assisted Deal Process
CarLo operates exclusively on an Assisted Deal model. All inquiries, negotiations, and deal coordination are handled exclusively by CarLo team — buyers and sellers do not communicate directly. The process works as follows:
- Buyer clicks "Show Interest" on a verified listing.
- CarLo team receives the inquiry and contacts both buyer and seller separately.
- CarLo mediates negotiation, arranges inspection if needed, and coordinates documentation.
- Upon agreement, CarLo facilitates deal closure — RC transfer, paperwork, and payment guidance.
- Platform fee is collected from the seller after deal is confirmed.
5. No Direct Contact Policy
All communication between buyers, sellers, and dealers must happen exclusively through CarLo's controlled in-platform system. Sharing personal phone numbers, WhatsApp links, email addresses, or any external contact information during platform interactions is strictly prohibited. Bypassing the platform to complete a transaction after connecting through CarLo is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension and a potential listing ban.
6. Seller Agreement Policy
Before listing their first car, all sellers and dealers must accept the CarLo Seller Agreement. By accepting, sellers agree:
- All deals and inquiries will be handled exclusively through CarLo team.
- Direct dealing with buyers outside CarLo is strictly prohibited.
- Platform service fee is applicable on every successful deal.
- Minimum 5 photos required per listing with number plates hidden.
- CarLo reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms.
This agreement is recorded with the seller's ID, timestamp, and IP address and is non-retractable.
7. Number Plate Hiding Requirement
All car photos uploaded to CarLo must have the number plate clearly hidden, blurred, or covered. Listings with visible number plates may be rejected by CarLo. This is a mandatory requirement to protect seller privacy and prevent misuse of vehicle identification information.
8. Listing Rules — Sellers & Dealers
Sellers and dealers must provide accurate, complete, and genuine car details and photos while creating any listing. Fake, misleading, or fraudulent listings are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and account suspension. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. CarLo reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these rules without prior notice.
9. Listing Ban Policy
CarLo reserves the right to permanently ban any listing and/or user account for:
- Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent car details.
- Attempting to bypass the CarLo platform for direct buyer-seller transactions.
- Sharing personal contact information during inquiries.
- Uploading photos with visible number plates after being warned.
- Duplicate listings of the same vehicle.
- Any activity deemed harmful to CarLo's reputation or its users.
Banned accounts will not receive any refund of wallet credits or boost plans.
10. Buyer Conduct
Buyers must not share personal contact information (phone numbers, WhatsApp, email, or any external contact) outside the CarLo platform. All communication between buyers, sellers, and dealers must happen through CarLo's controlled in-platform system. Bypassing the platform to complete a transaction after connecting through CarLo is strictly prohibited.
11. Boost Plans & Service Fees
CarLo is 100% free for buyers. Sellers may optionally purchase a Boost Listing plan to promote their listing in search results. Available plans:
- Basic — ₹99 for 3 days
- Standard — ₹299 for 7 days
- Premium — ₹599 for 15 days
- Max — ₹999 for 30 days
Boost plans are purchased solely for increased listing visibility. They do not guarantee a sale, lead, or any specific outcome. Boosted listings appear above non-boosted listings in relevant search results. Any future service fees will be clearly disclosed in advance.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a buyer and seller arising from a transaction facilitated through CarLo, the following process applies:
- Parties must first attempt to resolve the matter through CarLo's mediation by contacting support@mycarlo.net.
- CarLo will review the case and provide a non-binding resolution within 7 working days.
- CarLo is not responsible for deals made outside the platform or for any loss incurred in such deals.
- If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi, India.
13. Refund & Cancellation Terms
All Boost Listing plan payments are non-refundable once activated. If a boost was not activated due to a verified technical error on CarLo's side, users may contact support within 24 hours for a review. No refund will be issued after 24 hours of purchase under any circumstances. Wallet credits issued by CarLo (e.g., listing approval credits, deal completion credits) are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Platform service fees (2–3%) are due upon deal completion and are non-refundable once a deal is confirmed. All boost plan payments are processed securely via Razorpay.
14. Additional Charges
The vehicle price displayed on the platform does not include RC transfer charges, documentation fees, insurance, or other service-related charges. These are separate and will be finalized between the buyer and seller after deal completion.
15. CarLo Platform Rights
CarLo team reserves the right to remove any listing or user account that violates platform rules, engages in fraud, harassment, or any activity deemed harmful to the platform or its users — without prior notice or liability.
16. Referral & Rewards
Referral rewards are subject to CarLo verification and approval. CarLo reserves the right to withhold, reduce, or reject rewards in cases of suspected fraud, self-referral, duplicate accounts, or any violation of platform policies. Rewards are discretionary and not legally binding until confirmed by CarLo.
17. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi, India.
18. Modifications
CarLo reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
